28 Sep Stratford Day 2

So first proper day today. Arrived at the theatre and met up with all the other participants, some of whom I had spoken to last night. Had an introduction to the weekend and then straight into first workshop of “Working with Actors”. This was led by Annie Tyson, from RADA. Reaaly interesting and exciting. Ended with me throwing a chair acros s the room…but it was all in the best possible taste!!

Second workshop prepared us to be a director which was interesting but the speaker had only worked with professional actors so had a very different idea of rehearsals etc.

Final workshop, in the evening was dealing with editing and cutting – gave me the confidence to realse that Shakespeare can be cut and changed…it is not sacred!!

Much more positive day.
