The Body on Killhope Moor

Exhibition Launch

at The Hive, Nenhead
Friday 29th April, 7pm (food from 6pm)

High in the North Pennines, during August 1921, local shepherd Titus Harrison of Killhope was tending his flock when he found a box protruding from the ground. On closer inspection he discovered that it was a coffin, containing a skeleton.

Drama in the Dale has spent the last 18 months researching, writing, and turning this local mystery into an outdoor community performance that was performed at Killhope Museum during Summer 2021.

Join us for this special evening to hear from lead researcher Dr Barbara Crosbie and community members about the extensive research that informed the story, and who the body in the coffin was?

Alongside the exhibition of research material & costumes you may meet some of the characters from the play, watch a short video of The Body on Killhope Moor whilst enjoying live music and delicious food.

Pre show bistro menu available from 6pm
