01 Jul From the beginning to the end

Another fine day…we just hope this weather continues until at least 3rd September!!!

Started our day rehearsing scenes with our new Rosalind, alongside Orlando, Celia and Oliver, in the gardens of the church hall; we even added a short game of croquet into the mix. Moved across to the venue to have a complete run through so we had an idea of timings, that all the actors could get into the scenes with no hiccups and help with a sense of the shape of the production. Our musical director (Paul) was on hand to see when and how the music will fit.

This was a useful exercise as I could then mark the scenes that needed more time and see those in which the actors have started to “perform”.  Still lots of work to do and the cast have just a month now to get off script then full steam ahead.
