A collaboration between Drama in the Dale
& North Pennines Playwrights
Following  an exciting meeting with Jo Rendall from North Pennines Playwrights, Drama in the Dale will be involved in a new and exciting project: creating a play about the miners’ strike of 1849 in Allenheads.

Interested in performing?
The initial stage included Drama in the Dale members performing some of the script at the 2025 Weardale Wordfest. In 2026 we will be on the hunt for actors to take on the various roles, if you are interested email us.

The next phase
